Common Questions

How does Crossway maintain financial integrity in the ministry?

Financial integrity is more than handling money wisely—it is about honoring God and maintaining the trust of His people. The Bible calls us to manage the resources entrusted to us with transparency, accountability, and unquestionable integrity. The Apostle Paul modeled this commitment when he wrote to the Corinthians about how his missionary team handled the Jerusalem offering for the poor.

We take this course so that no one should blame us about this generous gift that is being administered by us, for we aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord’s sight but also in the sight of man.  2 Corinthians 8:20–21

Our goal is to handle every dollar entrusted to the church in a way that is honorable before God and above reproach before people. According to our Financial Policies and Procedures Manual,

The church will be responsible for maintaining adequate financial records at the church facilities and/or by using a secure online platform. Members may request to review financial records by submitting a written request to the Finance Committee. The Finance Committee shall inform the Elder Body of any such request. The Finance Committee will make the financial records available with a valid request only, and determine which requests are valid. The church financial records or copies will not be removed from the church premises without the approval of the Finance Committee (p. 9 of the Financial Policies and Procedures Manual).

The Lead Pastor does not have access to Crossway Church’s bank accounts and is not an authorized signatory on any church account. The Lead Pastor is responsible for leading and implementing the church’s annual ministry plan within the parameters of the budget approved by the members of the church.
