Pastor Ron's June 2026 letter
June 2026
Dear Crossway Church Family,
Last year, a student named Sam began attending our student ministry with her boyfriend. At first, she simply showed up each week, listening and observing, but God was already at work in her heart. Over time, Sam kept coming, leaned into the community, and began to change.
Everything came to a turning point at summer camp, where Sam encountered Jesus in a personal and life-changing way and placed her faith in Him. When she returned home, the life of Christ began to grow in her like a seed planted in the ground. In July, she was baptized, publicly declaring her faith in Christ.
But the story didn’t stop with Sam. Her transformed life impacted her entire family. They noticed the difference, began attending church, and are now starting to follow Jesus, too. What began with one student showing up has become a whole family transformed by the gospel.
Stories like Sam’s remind us why the mission of Crossway Church matters so deeply.
Join God in His Work
As we begin a new ministry year this July—our “Year of the Bible”—we are seeing God bring more young families, students, and children into our church community. Family Ministries continues to play a vital role in our disciple-making mission, and now more than ever, we have an opportunity to invest in the next generation.
That is why I want to ask you to prayerfully consider two important questions:
- Where will you serve the Lord during the 2026–2027 ministry year?
- Are you continuing to grow in the grace of giving?
Henry Blackaby once said, “Find out where God is working and join Him.” God is certainly at work through the fellowship of believers known as Crossway Church, and Sam’s story is just one example among many.
Through the stewardship of your time, talent, and treasure, will you accept God’s invitation to participate in what He is doing here at Crossway?
My Stewardship Commitment
Use the links above to find information designed to help you prayerfully consider your stewardship commitment for the coming ministry year. As you review it, keep students like Sam and her family in mind. Your investment in this ministry has eternal significance.
If you are already serving as one of our Way Makers, thank you for your faithful ministry. Please reaffirm your commitment by completing the online form here. If you are not yet serving, we would love to help you discover a place where your gifts can make an impact. Simply indicate your area of interest, and one of our ministry leaders will contact you.
If you would like help identifying your spiritual gifts and ministry calling, I encourage you to participate in Discover Your Divine Design 401, offered both online and in person.
As you consider the stewardship of your financial resources, I encourage you to reflect on the tithing challenge found in Malachi 3:10. Giving ten percent of our income is a biblical starting point for generosity, and Cathryn and I can personally testify to a truth many believers have discovered over the years: you can never outgive God.
Growing in the grace of giving means each of us takes the next step in generosity. For some, that may be the very first step.
These are exciting days at Crossway Church. As we enter this new ministry year together, may each of us do our part so that we are fully prepared to fulfill our mission: glorifying God by making disciples of Jesus Christ who go and make disciples.
Together, let’s continue reaching more students like Sam for Jesus.
On behalf of the elder body,
Dr. Ron Jones
Lead Pastor
