June 2025

Dear Church Family,

Jeremy’s first connection with the student ministry at Crossway Church came through a shared love for volleyball. While playing for Tallwood High School, he met a few students who invited him to one of our volleyball nights. What started as a simple game turned into a life-changing evening—Jeremy met several Crossway students and adult volunteers and immediately felt a sense of belonging.

From that night on, Jeremy began attending Sunday Night Students regularly. With each gathering, he built deeper relationships and took meaningful steps in his journey toward the Christian faith.

This past summer, Jeremy attended summer camp with other students from Crossway. There, he experienced a powerful encounter with God and made the life-changing decision to surrender his life to Jesus Christ.

Join God in His Work

In July, we begin a new ministry year at Crossway Church, which we designate as “The Year of the Family.” Family Ministries plays a significant role in our disciple-making mission, particularly as we witness a resurgence of young families with students like Jeremy attending Crossway Church.

Jeremy and others like him are the reason I do not hesitate to ask you to make a significant commitment to the Lord and His church at Crossway. Consider two questions prayerfully:

  1. Where will you serve the Lord during the 2025-2026 ministry year?
  2. Are you growing in the grace of giving?

Henry Blackaby once said, “Figure out where God is working and join Him in that effort.” Indeed, God invites us to participate in His work. He is working through the fellowship of believers known as Crossway Church. Jeremy’s story is one illustration among many.

Through the stewardship of your time, talent, and treasure, are you willing to accept the sacred call of God at Crossway Church?

My Stewardship Commitment

Enclosed, you will find a flyer detailing how you can prayerfully consider the stewardship of your time, talent, and treasure at Crossway Church during the 2025-2026 ministry year. Keep Jeremy in mind when considering the eternal investment you make in this ministry.

If you are already serving on a ministry team as one of our Way Makers, thank you. Please reaffirm your commitment by completing the online form using the QR code on the flyer. If not, please let us know where you would like to serve, and a ministry team leader will contact you.

If you need help discovering your place to serve, consider attending "Discover Your Divine Design 401," available online or in person.

Regarding the stewardship of your treasure (money), consider the tithing challenge found in Malachi 3:10. By giving ten percent of your income as a starting point for your financial contributions, you will discover something many of us have learned, including Cathryn and me: We can never outgive God.

Growing in the grace of giving means each of us takes the next step toward generosity. For some, it might be a first step.

These are exciting days at Crossway Church. As we begin a new ministry year in July, let each of us do our part to ensure we are fully prepared to fulfill our mission—glorifying God by making disciples of Jesus Christ who go and make disciples—and reach more students like Jeremy.

On behalf of the elder body,

Dr. Ron Jones
Lead Pastor
